Summary
The aim is to provide utility company managers and technical staff with a view of what has been achieved to date using a range of telecommunications technologies and to look at emerging technologies in order to understand what options will be available in the foreseeable future. The report is not restricted to the telecommunications elements of mobile data - it seeks to look at the business drivers within utility companies and to explain how these needs can be met by the implementation of new technology.
