Summary
This brochure presents further investigations on finding a suitable inclined-plane test (IPT) setup and procedure applied to polymeric insulating materials under DC conditions. An initial study on discharge phenomena as well as modifications of parameter combinations in the inclined plane test under DC stress were conducted. Main goals of these investigations were to maintain the test philosophy and improve repeatability and reproducibility of test results. Round Robin Tests (RRT) were used to validate the reproducibility and repeatability of the test results.
