Summary
This paper evaluates the preservation and development of knowledge and skills under the conditions of accelerating technological evolution and workforce transformation. The rapid technological developments in the field, whilst in parallel maintaining legacy systems, have a significant impact on knowledge and skills management. To investigate the status and current challenges in knowledge and skills preservation, the authors created a semi-structured interview and interviewed key stakeholders within the PAC domain of a leading Dutch DSO. This paper summarizes the results and -as the main part of the paper- the results are discussed.
