Summary

This paper will present the process of developing a qualification program for

AXIA Energia teams that will be directly affected by the adoption of Digital Substation technology. All areas of Application Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Maintenance,

Operations Engineering and Operations were considered.

The program was built based on the analysis of the activities performed by each area and team.

The desired level of team competence in the related subjects was subsequently assessed and compared with the results of self-assessments carried out by employees. The method, which will be described in detail in the article, indicated a need for greater or lesser qualification in each discipline, which served as a basis for the development of a proposal for a qualification program. Knowledge trail were prepared for each type of course, defining its objectives, topics to be covered, course modality and workload. The training required for each team in the various areas was also mapped.

The analysis of the results highlighted deficiencies in the technical teams in topics such as

Ethernet Network and IEC 61850. Mastery of these two skills will be of fundamental importance for the teams to be able to safely perform the activities under their responsibility.

The proposed program is not definitive, and it should be continually reviewed by the technical areas mentioned and modified as necessary.
