Summary

This paper presents a methodology designed to identify potential impedance-based stability concerns utilizing impedance sectors. The proposed screening approach enables detection of possible control interactions in the frequency-domain by utilizing harmonic impedance sectors, which capture variations in grid conditions, and inverter-based resource (IBR) frequency response. Given the time and computational demands of time-domain simulations, this methodology offers a more efficient screening method prior to time-domain evaluation.
