Summary

With the emergence of reliable, relatively easy-to-manage cloud-based computing architecture and software solutions, and the improvement in the quality and reliability of access to network and cloud resources, it is becoming increasingly feasible to migrate SCADA/EMS of energy companies with a large number of branches/offices to a cloud-based architecture, where

SCADA/EMS installations are located in a corporate or external cloud. In this case, dispatch centre users will connect to the SCADA/EMS resources of their operational zone using secure access tools. This report analyses the challenges of implementing cloud-based SCADA/EMS and their solutions.
