Summary

The arrival of cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) will upend the cryptography landscape. It will impact historical cryptographic foundations and open the door to highly disruptive and damaging cyber threats.

As operators of mission-critical infrastructure and high-value targets for threat actors, power utilities must move fast to deploy quantum-safe cryptography to secure their communications networks. Quantum-safe cryptography offers a strong defense against quantum threats and can provide a secure and trusted foundation for continued digital transformation.

This paper explores how IPsec network-layer cryptographic technology empowers utilities to secure their data and communications against classical and quantum cyber threats without compromising performance or operational continuity.
