Summary
This TB is based on previous works reviews ageing processes of generator windings, their consequences and the actual condition assessment and maintenance practices. By way of illustration and charts the TB attempts to be a very practical guide to all utilities to understand the failure mechanism of generator windings and define their maintenance strategy as well as a training material for all young engineers working in the power generation.
