Summary
SF6 gas has used as insulation medium, however is one of the greenhouse gas and its global warming potential(GWP) is estimated 23,900 times higher than CO2. For this reason, studies on insulation gas to replace SF6 gas has progressed. In this paper, we selected N2 gas as a substitute gas and analyzed discharge characteristics as the gas mixture ratio. To simulate partial discharge(PD) sources in the gas, electrode systems such as a protrusion on conductor (POC), a protrusion on enclosure (POE) and a free particle were fabricated. IEC 60270 electrical method was applied to analyze the discharge inception voltage (DIV), discharge extinction voltage (DEV), and a phase distribution.
