Summary
In this paper the characteristics of partial discharge evolution for the interfacial electrical trees in Cable Accessories were investigated. In order to study the relationship between interfacial electrical trees and partial discharges for XLPE-LSR interface of the pre-moulded joint of XLPE cables, the laboratory model was designed and partial discharge experiments were performed for the model. The characteristics of partial discharges were investigated according to the evolution of interfacial electrical tree initiation and growth.
