As we all know that the insulating sheath are bound to insulation aging or mechanical damage during operation and even lead to insulation breakdown, lead to the sudden power outage power lines.Existing repair rely on heat welding,heat shrink tube technology.It need fault location methods to find fault point,also need to digging casing and stop the electricity,which consuming a lot of time.Based on the study of the aging mechanism and the research of polymer intelligent materials, a new self-healing technology of cable insulation sheath is explored.The new cable it needs both selfhealing performance and good mechanical and electrical performance as well as conventional cables.But how to evaluate its self-healing properties is still blank in the international arena.A new evaluation method for the new cable insulation sheath is proposed.An assessment method of self-healing insulated cable sheath based on Fuzzy Analysis Hierarchy Process (FAHP) was studied in this paper.A multi-level index system of self-healing cable insulation sheath state was established. Evaluation indexes usually classified into quantitative indicators, descriptive indicators and qualitative indicators, and the latter two kinds of indicators are difficult to be quantified. Combining the data of electrical, mechanical, thermal and chemical properties of the insulation sheath,the degree of membership of the evaluation index was got by using the fuzzy distribution method and fuzzy membership degree test statistics.The multi-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is constructed by using Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP).Weight vector of the evaluation factors was obtained by ranking the weight of evaluation index. Proper fuzzy operator was selected by using the theory of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation. The operation was run between unit state matrix and the fuzzy operator, which can get state membership degree of each insulation sheath unit. Further application of fuzzy comprehensive operation can get the evaluation results of the whole insulation sheath system.The method has been proved to have significant effects.
