Summary
This article presents the results of the development of a prototype for online monitoring of frequent-operation circuit breakers. The system was developed and tested using two circuit breaker models from different manufacturers, which were equipped with IEDs for sensoring and data acquisition. Read more Read lessScience techniques and Artificial Intelligence models, allowing the identification of equipment wear and the early detection of anomalies. The results indicate the system’s potential to improve maintenance and increase the operational reliability of circuit breakers. This work is is the result of an R&D project regulated by the Brazilian electricity sector regulatory agency, project number PD-00068-0064/2023.
