Summary
High-voltage transmission lines using cross-linked polyethylene cables are widely used in the reconstruction of existing power systems and the construction of new electrical net-works, in particular those intended to connect industrial and agricultural consumers. The paper pre-sents the results of a study aimed at developing computer models of innovative cable lines. Two options for such transmission lines are explored. The first utilizes a two-phase voltage system, while the second is grounded in a four-phase system. Both options significantly reduce capital costs for grid construction. The computer models of these transmission lines are developed using the Fazonord AC - DC software. Along with the calculation of power flows, these models can be used to detect electromagnetic field strengths on cable lines and, using these data, assess electromagnetic safety conditions. The findings lead to the following conclusions: the innovative two-phase and four-phase cable lines can reduce the construction costs of electrical networks while meeting regulatory requirements for energy efficiency, power quality, and electromagnetic safety. The models designed can be utilized in the design and operation of cable lines intended for power supply to industrial and agricultural facilities, as well as for power distribution from large-scale wind farms. These models are versatile and can be applied to electrical networks of various structures.
